Come on, Idol baby...!

Peter Pan was a company that specialized in childrens records.  It was around for more than three decades (1940s - 1970s) and that time, they produced hundreds of recordings of music and stories for children.

I grew up with a lot of these records and certainly had my favorites.  One such favorite was GI Joe and the Search for the Stolen Idol.

I wore the needles off of several of my parents record players listening to this thing.  I actually had the entire thing memorized and used to recite it to my son as a bedtime story!

So, what I've done here is made a Hollywood-style trailer for GI Joe and the Search for the Stolen Idol. I used nothing but sounds from the actual record with a bed of modern sounding Hollywood trailer music.  Why did I do this?  Don't ask!  Many more posts will follow leaving you with that very same question and you'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out.
